60 Year Old Resident From North America Suffered Serious Accident
Yesterday, a man in his 60s, a man from North America and resident in Madeira suffered a serious accident when he fell approximately 50 meters near the new Porto da Cruz cemetery. The incident occurred around 14:00 o’clock, prompting the activation of various emergency services, including EMIR and the Machico Municipal Firefighters.
Man In Cardiorespiratory Arrest But Alive
The fall occurred when the man was on the farm, leading to him tumbling from an abyss. Upon reaching the scene, emergency responders found the victim in cardiorespiratory arrest. The situation required the intervention of rescue teams, with the Machico Municipal Firefighters mobilizing a mountain rescue team.
Despite the gravity of the incident, prompt and efficient action by the emergency services resulted in the man being rescued at the site. Subsequently, he was admitted to the hospital with vital signs.
