Fight Between Neighbors Escalates Badly
News you would not expect to hear from Porto Santo: this morning, a man was arrested for an alleged attempted murder that occurred on the Margaça farm. The incident unfolded after a heated argument between neighbors whose relationship had been complicated for several years. The dispute reached an extreme point when one of the neighbors grabbed a spearfishing weapon and attempted to harm his neighbor.
Victim Injured But Police Showed Up In Time
The local police caught the assailant in the act, with the weapon still in his possession. The victim, an elderly man, sustained injuries during the altercation. Fortunately, the situation did not escalate to a more serious level thanks to the swift police intervention. The violence extended beyond physical harm, as the neighbor also targeted the injured man's vehicle, inflicting significant damage with a violent assault using a stick.
