Supporters Cheer Pedro Calado At The Airport
After more than three weeks of detention in Lisbon, Pedro Calado has returned to Madeira, landing today at Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport. At the terminal, he was met by a crowd of fierce supporters applauding him. Pedro Calado seemingly appreciated being welcomed back to the island, where he allegedly caused so much harm.

Pedro Calado Affirms His Innocence
Sporting an assertive red sweater and intelligent-looking glasses, Pedro Calado addressed the media regarding the strong corruption allegations against him. Despite facing many severe accusations, he affirmed that he is innocent. Yet, he announced that he decided to end his political career, to allow a “smooth development of the process”.
Pedro Calado Wants To Stay Away From Media Attention
Pedro Calado further clarified that he will now turn his back on public life. It appears understandable that despite having to face possible legal consequences for his actions, one would not like to stay in the spotlight of media attention. In particular, if the outcome of the case is to his detriment.
“I will dedicate myself to private activity, I want to move away from everything that is public, political or party functions”.
