Festival Celebrates Global Dance and Music Traditions
The third edition of Dancilhas - Festival de Danças e Músicas do Mundo will take place on October 11 and 12 in Funchal, at the Garden of the Parish Council of Sao Martinho. This vibrant cultural event, organized by the Cultural and Recreating Association Rodopio Pitoresco, is designed to showcase world dance and music traditions.
Open to All Ages, Emphasizing Community and Sustainability
Dancilhas is a celebration for people of all ages, featuring both professional and amateur dancers and musicians. The event focuses on fostering community connections while promoting sustainability and cultural heritage preservation. Through performances, participants aim to present the essence of what makes traditional and folk festivals unique, offering audiences an immersive experience in global music and dance traditions.
