EasyJet Issues Info on Mobility Subsidy

EasyJet informs that to receive the mobility subsidy, passengers must pay for their flight in full and later submit a document - available on the airline’s website - proving the flight was booked and taken.

Travelers Must Pay First, Request Refund Later

EasyJet has published a public notice explaining how passengers can get money back under Portugal’s updated mobility subsidy program. The airline reminds travelers that although the support amounts have changed, people must still pay the full price of their ticket first. Only afterward can they ask for a refund through CTT post offices - and likely later, once in place, on the online platform that manages the reimbursement process.

For reimbursement it is necessary, on trips made with EasyJet, to present a document stating that the flights were reserved and used, a document that can be requested on the company's website.

Proof of Flight Use Is Required

To get reimbursed, passengers must show a document proving that their EasyJet flights were both booked and taken. This confirmation can be requested directly from EasyJet’s website. It is a key part of the refund process and applies to all tickets under the mobility subsidy scheme.

Baggage Refund Only Possible Under Specific Conditions

EasyJet also pointed out a condition that could affect travelers trying to get their luggage costs back. According to the airline, baggage must be included at the time of the ticket purchase in a single package. Bags paid for separately or added after buying the ticket will not be eligible for a refund.
