Community to Honor Fallen Defenders and Show Continued Support
The Ukrainian community in Madeira, along with supporters from different countries, will come together on February 24, 2025 at 18.30h, to mark the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. The gathering will start in front of the Baltazar Dias Municipal Theatre in Funchal, where participants will honor the bravery of Ukrainian soldiers and remember those who lost their lives defending Europe.
Eleven Years of Conflict, Three Years of Full-Scale War
Although the war began in 2014, the past three years have been the most devastating for Ukraine and its people. The conflict has brought destruction and suffering, but Ukraine continues to resist. Organizers of the event emphasize that the country's struggle is not only for its own survival but also to prevent further aggression in Europe.

A Call for Stronger International Involvement
The event aims to send a message to the world: Ukraine is still fighting and will not stop until victory is achieved. Organizers stress that it is crucial for all democratic nations, including Portugal, to continue their support. They argue that standing with Ukraine is an unequivocal investment in a peaceful future.
Gathering to Show Unity and Determination
The Ukrainian community invites everyone who cares about the future to join them at the event. Families, friends, and supporters are encouraged to attend to demonstrate solidarity and resilience. The organizers believe that unity and determination are key to securing Ukraineโs future and ensuring peace for generations to come.
