Protesting Russian Atrocities In Funchal
People in solidarity with Ukraine in Madeira gathered in front of Sé Cathedral today to protest the latest wave of Russian atrocities in Ukraine. The demonstration, organized by the Associação da Ucrânia com Amor, aimed to draw attention to the recent mass bombings, particularly the attack on the Ohmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv.
Dozens Killed, More Than 100 Injured
The Russian military launched over 40 missiles at various Ukrainian cities, resulting in more than 30 deaths and more than a hundred people injured. The attack on the children's hospital, a devastating blow to innocent civilians, has been widely condemned as a war crime.
NATO Summit Ahead
The demonstration in Madeira comes on the eve of the NATO summit in Washington, where the Russian atrocities in Ukraine are expected to be a major topic of discussion.
