40 Speakers T Attend The Meeting
The 6th National Urban Cleaning Meeting will take place in Funchal from September 25th to 27th. This event, organized by the Urban Cleaning Association – Partnership for Smarter and Sustainable Cities (ALU), focuses on the theme of Urban Cleaning + Sustainability. The meeting is expected to feature 40 renowned national and international speakers. The Vidamar Resort Hotel Madeira Congress Center in Funchal will host the event.
The 6th ENLU will be a unique opportunity to bring together the main players in the sector and discuss the challenges and opportunities to make our cities smarter and more sustainable. We are excited to host this event in Funchal, a municipality that stands out for its good environmental practices and leadership in sustainability. We hope that this meeting will promote significant exchanges of knowledge and further strengthen collaborative ties between participants."

6th Meeting To Focus On Sustainability
A major focus of this 6th annual meeting is ensuring urban cleaning is a sustainable activity. Balancing these aspects is considered a significant challenge for the entire industry, including solution providers, regulators, political decision-makers, municipal technicians, and citizens. The Meeting aims to foster significant knowledge exchanges and strengthen collaboration among participants, promoting smarter and more sustainable cities. Additionally, the event will include a technical visit to observe the efforts of the municipality of Funchal. Last year, Funchal developed a Municipal Urban Cleaning Program and invested 1.3 million euros to enhance resources for this activity.
