Madeira-Bound Hash Smuggler Apprehended in Lisbon

An unsuccessful attempt to earn easy money will likely result in more serious consequences for the trafficker.

Suspect Caught with 4,000 Doses of Hashish

Last week, a man was apprehended at Lisbon International Airport as he tried to board a flight to Madeira with 4,000 individual doses of hashish attached to his body.

The drugs were detected during a security check using an X-ray detector. The suspect confessed to possessing the hashish, stating that he acquired it in Faro. His intention was to fly to Madeira, where he anticipated receiving 800 Euros for drug trafficking.

While the consumption of Hashish must be open for debate, one could surely think of easier ways to make 800 bucks. Legally or Illegally. Some people might be drawn to the thrill of danger, but he will likely need to try hard to convince the judge of his story.
