IPMA Issues Weather Alert for Madeira: Heavy Rain Tomorrow

The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) issued a weather alert this afternoon, warning of periods of heavy rain expected for tomorrow afternoon and early evening in Madeira. The alert is in effect from 15:00h to 21:00h, covering both the north and south coasts, as well as the island's mountainous regions.

Weather Set to Improve Gradually After Monday

While Monday will see significant rainfall, some showers are also expected on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. However, the likelihood and frequency of rain will decrease as the week progresses, thanks to the increasing influence of an anticyclone over the region.

Anticyclone to Bring End of Rain Later in the Week

As the anticyclone strengthens throughout the week, rainfall will likely cease altogether in the Madeira archipelago by the end of Thursday. This shift in weather patterns will bring drier and more stable conditions to the region.
