IFCN Announces Reopening of Hiking Trails

Diário de Notícias Madeira reports that with depression Irene losing its grip on the island, the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation (IFCN) has announced the reopening of Classified Pedestrian Routes and hiking trails. The decision to reopen comes with a strong emphasis on caution, as these routes are located in areas susceptible to intense climatic pressure and natural erosion.

Users are urged to exercise vigilance while traversing these paths, keeping an eye out for abnormal situations such as broken paths or fallen branches.
