Incident with Sled Causes Shock but No Injuries
A minor accident involving a traditional carro de cesto occurred today during a descent on the Monte Tobbogan sled in Funchal. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident, which was captured on video and quickly shared on social media.

Rainy Weather Likely Contributed to the Event
The incident took place amid heavy rainfall, which is believed to have caused the slippery conditions. According to reports, one of the members of the team lost their balance, leading to the sled going off course, as the carreiro was dragged alongside it. For a brief moment, the remaining staff struggled to regain control of the sled going downhill but acted swiftly and ultimately succeeded. Despite the momentary scare, there were no physical injuries to either the professional drivers or the tourists.
