A first projection for the Madeira Regional elections has been mentioned on Jornal da Madeira. The projection indicates that Miguel Albuquerque’s PSD, is expected to maintain its position as the leading party. Following the PSD, the PS, JPP, and Chega are projected to occupy the next positions in the electoral results.
According to this survey, the PSD will have gathered between 33 and 38% of the votes and the PS, in second place, between 21 and 25% of the votes, with the JPP occupying third place with a percentage that will be around 16 and the 19%.
We remember that in a parliament with a total of 47 seats, the PSD needed 24 mandates to guarantee an absolute majority.
In the projection released at 7pm, the PS gets between 11 and 14 deputies (21% to 25%).
