Cruise Arrivals Fuel Local Business and Tourism in Madeira
Cruise ships continue to be a key part of Madeira’s tourism sector. The regular arrivals of large vessels bring a steady flow of visitors to local businesses, restaurants, and tours. With several ships also using Funchal as a starting or stopping point for crew and passenger changes, the port plays an important role in the logistics of international cruise lines.
