What is Star Wars The Acolyte About
The Acolyte is a new Star Wars series coming to Disney+ on June 4th, 2024. Set a century before the Skywalker saga, it dives into the fading light of the High Republic era. A former Jedi Padawan teams up with her Master to investigate a wave of emerging dark side threats. Expect shadowy secrets, action adventure, and a glimpse into a time when the Jedi faced a growing darkness.

An acolyte (actually acolyte from Greek ακόλουθος akólouthos "companion", "follower") is generally a helping participant in a religious or magical ritual. In Christianity it signifies a layperson who is appointed to a liturgical service in the Roman Catholic Church. In the rubrics of the extraordinary form of the Roman Rite, the service is considered the highest of the minor orders.
