Turtles Found Tangled in Fishing Lines During Eco Tour
Yesterday afternoon, a tourist boat off the coast of Madeira became an unexpected lifeline for two endangered sea turtles caught in fishing lines and cables. The vessel, Magic Dolphin Eco, was on a routine cetacean-watching tour when the crew encountered the distressed animals, approximately four miles from Funchal's shoreline.

Quick Action by Crew Saves Endangered Species
The turtles were found struggling to swim, their bodies heavily tangled in the debris, rendering them unable to move freely. Crew members aboard the eco-tourism vessel acted swiftly, managing to free both turtles from the entanglement and release them safely back into the ocean. The turtles, whose species is yet to be identified, were unharmed and immediately swam away after being freed.
