Salary Increase and Workweek Reduction for ARM Employees
Workers at ARM – Águas e Resíduos da Madeira will see their minimum wage rise to €919.58. Additionally, their weekly working hours will be reduced from 37.5 to 35. This decision follows discussions between the regional government, ARM's management, and the workers' union. The wage is €4,58 above the minimum wage in Madeira, which is currently at €915,00 before taxes.
Ricardo Frade Gouveia, president of the Public Service Workers' Union, highlights that the amount is higher than the minimum wage, but there is more. There will also be a seniority compensation.
