Madeira Speaks Up: “It’s A Disgrace“!
As the president of the Madeira Legislative Assembly, José Manuel Rodrigues (CDS-PP), announced the results of the Government program vote, a man in his fifties or sixties stood up and loudly exclaimed three times: "It’s a disgrace." 48 Years Of PSD Leadership And Unresolved Corruption Allegations
While the exact motivations behind the individual's interference in parliament remain unclear, it is evident that the citizens of Madeira are becoming increasingly aware of the unresolved issues before them. A democracy led for 48 years by the same party, whose leadership is entangled in unresolved corruption claims, is being voted back into power. A truly democratic society is demanding accountability.
