All Renovations At Praia do Vigário Completed
Praia do Vigário has reopened and now also brought new infrastructure and improved security measures, marking the official start of the bathing season. Last year, the beach operated partially due to major renovations. Now, it features a new sunbathing area and enhanced safety conditions, thanks to the stabilization of the adjacent cliff.
Praia do Vigário Has Three Lifeguards & Many More Facilities
As part of an urban rehabilitation project, over 900,000 euros were invested in upgrading Praia do Vigário. This includes improved access to the pebble beach and better facilities for visitors. The beach now offers showers, portable toilets, fixed umbrellas, and will soon include a bar. Praia do Vigário will be open every weekday from 10 am to 7 pm, with three lifeguards on duty until the end of the season on September 8th.
Salinas Bathing Complex Also Open
Additionally, if you fancy swimming in an outdoor pool instead of the open sea, the Salinas Bathing Complex a couple hundred meters further has been open to the public since May 25th.
