Procivex24: Madeira Is Preparing For Tsunami
Madeira's Regional Civil Protection Service recently conducted a large-scale training exercise called Procivex 24. Held on May 22nd, the drill aimed to improve coordination between various civil protection agencies and simulated a serious event, possibly a natural disaster, requiring a joint response. The exercise focused on practicing the activation of the RAM Regional Civil Protection Emergency Plan and the overall response procedures.
Civil Protection Service Releases Video
A video released by the Regional Civil Protection Service showcases the simulation, see below, which involved a tsunami striking the south coast of Madeira and Porto Santo.
