Empowering Through Investing
Since 2015, Madeira has invested 8.8 million euros in 513 projects supporting self-owned businesses for unemployed individuals. These initiatives, under the Program for Business Creation and Employment (CRIEE), led to the creation of 876 new jobs.
Employment Promotion Measures
The government emphasizes capacity building, training, and knowledge sharing to empower youth and entrepreneurs. In 2023, 43 new incentive contracts were signed, with an investment exceeding 634 thousand euros, resulting in 43 new jobs.
CRIEE is one of the 19 employment promotion measures by the Madeira Employment Institute.
