Eight-Year-Old Girl Of Madeiran Descent Dies In Southport Knife Attack
A young girl of Portuguese descent has tragically become one of three victims in the knife attack that occurred in Southport, northwest England, on Monday. Alice Aguiar, aged 8, succumbed to her injuries in the early hours of Tuesday morning, as reported by CMTV. The girl’s father is originally from Madeira, Ribeira Brava, and Alice reportedly held either Venezuelan or British nationality. The news about Alice’s passing has been shared on social media by family and friends of Alice's parents.
When they arrived, they were shocked to find that multiple people, many of whom were children, had been subjected to a ferocious attack and had suffered serious injuries.
It is understood the children were attending a Taylor Swift event at a dance school when the offender armed with a knife walked into the premises and started to attack the children inside.
Stabbing At Taylor Swift-Themed Children’s Event
The horrific knife attack occurred yesterday on July 29th. A 17-year-old boy stabbed multiple people at a Taylor Swift-themed children's event, killing the aforementioned three children and critically injuring several others, including adults. The attacker was arrested at the scene and Police are investigating the motive. The case is currently not suspected to be an act of terrorism.
Officials Offer Support To Family While A Fundraiser Has Been Launched

Alice’s mum Alexandra Aguiar is understood to hail originally from Caracas in Venezuela and her dad David Aguiar is from Madeira. Relative Carina Aguiar, a hotel worker who lives in Camara de Lobos in Madeira, posted a link on her social media to news Merseyside Police had confirmed a third child had died following the attack and wrote tear emoticons beside it.
