JM-Madeira reports that The Capitania do Porto do Funchal has issued a weather warning, alerting of strong sea agitation and powerful winds in the region that are likely to last until tomorrow morning. According to forecasts, the wind is expected to come from the north, maintaining a fair to moderate intensity.

Wave Heights of 2.5 to 3.5 Meters Expected

Anticipated wave heights on the north coast are set to range from 2.5 to 3.5 meters in the afternoon, decreasing to 2 to 3 meters by the close of the day. On the south coast, waves may escalate from 1.5 to 2 meters to 2 to 3 meters by day's end. Despite these challenging conditions, visibility is projected to be good to moderate. However, the Capitania do Porto do Funchal urges caution and advises both the maritime community and the general population to take necessary precautions. These precautions include keeping a close eye on vessels, avoiding walks near the sea, and refraining from recreational fishing in potentially hazardous areas.
