Superpedestrian E-Scooters Ceased Operations in Madeira

The company has gone into liquidation with all scooters already being taken from the streets

Remarkable Sell-Off Following Promising Beginnings

Some love them, others find them to be a nuisance: E-Scooters or Trotinetes, which have successfully established themselves in many cities worldwide. But this has come to an end in Madeira. As reported by Techcrunch, Superpedestrian E-Scooters ceased all activity on December 31 and will sell off it’s 20.000 E-Scooters. The company, which had raised a significant $125 million just a few years ago, has now gone into liquidation.

Online auctions for the sale of these E-Scooters have been set up. The first auction kicks off on January 23 and runs for three days. Another auction is scheduled from January 29 to January 31. The sell-off will probably mark the conclusion of all E-Scooter operations until another company decides to place their machines on the Madeiran market. Will Bolt give it a try?
