A recent video captured this month by Aleksandra Skrzeczynska in Monte, Funchal has been making waves in the headlines. According to her own testimony, Aleksandra had initially set out to take one of the Monte Sledges, only to find herself met with a substantial crowd waiting in line. Faced with this unexpected sight, she filmed the whole queue, and to her surprise, found herself counting hundreds of eager individuals patiently awaiting their turn.
Increase In Tourism Does Not Fully Explain Incidents

The influx of visitors to Madeira, particularly to tourist hotspots like Pico do Arieiro or as seen here in Monte, is remarkable. It's uncommon for Madeira to experience such a high volume of tourists at this time of the year, it’s still off-season after all. Is the recent surge in visitors to tourist hotspots due to a sudden improvement in weather conditions, or perhaps the growing trend of cruise ships offering day trips?
