Foreign Travelers Dominate Arrivals

UK Leads in Flights to Madeira
The United Kingdom emerged as the primary source of flights to Madeira, accounting for 28.6% of all air traffic. This places the UK firmly at the top of the list of countries sending visitors to the island.
Germany and France Follow Closely Behind
Germany ranked as the second-largest market, contributing 20.8% of the total flights to Madeira. France came in third, representing 8.9% of all air traffic, further solidifying Madeira’s position as a popular European destination.
A Record Year Ahead
With 2024 set to break previous records, Madeira’s reputation as a key hub for international tourism is stronger than ever. The numbers reflect the region’s sustained growth in popularity among global travelers, making it a key entry point for visitors to Portugal.
