Fire That Broke Out In Serra de Água Is Intensifying
Yesterday morning, a fire broke out on the slopes of Serra de Água. The fire has intensified throughout the day and the flames are racing up the slope. A helicopter was unable to intervene, due to the strong winds. Bystanders and residents are worried about what will happen next. The latest footage shows that the fire has already reached a considerable size. According to Jornal da Madeira, fires can already be seen from the valley in Ribeira Brava. The origin of the fire is tragically reported to be fireworks.
